Schon das Taschenbuch in deutscher Übersetzung hatte mir sehr gefallen und ich bin vom Menschen Steve Wozniak tief beeindruckt.Ich hatte mir aus dem Wenigen, was ich bisher so erfahren hatte zusammengereimt, dass er ein guter Mensch ist.Es machte mir ein Riesenvergnügen zu erfahren, dass ich manches mit ihm sogar gemein habe (nein, nicht das Geld und nicht die Programmierkenntnisse). Da ich seit Neuestem auch eBooks für meine neue Kindle-App auf dem iPhone 6s Plus kaufe und das Taschenbuch nun einem Freund ausleihe, wollte ich es als eBook auf deutsch kaufen - gibt es aber nicht.Um meine Englischkenntnisse zu vertiefen und zu sehen, ob die Originalfassung nicht nur den ausführlicheren Untertitel hat, habe ich dann gern die Originalfassung gekauft und werde sie komplett lesen. Dauert aber noch, da ich noch andere Bücher lese.Fazit, bevor ich die englische Version komplett verglichen habe: es ist mindestens so gut wie die gute deutsche Übersetzung.Wer etwas über den wirklich sympathischen guten Charakter Steve Wozniak erfahren und dabei auch mal schmunzeln möchte, kann hier zugreifen, wenn er/sie sich das in englisch zutraut. Sonst gibt es ja die deutsche Fassung als Taschenbuch. ;-)
Wer etwas über die Gründung von Apple und dessen Geschichte erfahren möchte ist mit diesem Buch etwas schlecht beraten. Anfangs noch geordnet, später doch etwas durcheinander, beschreibt dieses Buch das leben eines Geeks der das Glück hatte mit seinen Ideen Millionen zu verdienen.Etwas deprimiert kann man schon werden, wenn man ständig ließt welch coole Dinge Woz alles entwickelt hat, oder was er alles erlebt hat. Dass er mit 6 Jahren schon erste Schaltung entwickelte und immer der Beste war führt auch zu einer leichten Depression, doch fand ich das Buch trotzdem sehr unterhaltsam. Man lernt einen Menschen kennen der sehr viel Spaß an allem hat was er macht, und dass ist dann doch sehr erfrischend.Um das spätere Durcheinander etwas besser zu verstehen, empfehle ich jedoch vorher eine andere Bio zu lesen. Bei mir war es vor kurzem das weniger aktuelle Buch von Jeffrey S. Young, welches eine Steve Jobs Bio ist. Die Sprünge in iWoz sind damit sehr gut in den zeitlichen Verlauf einzuordnen und man kann sich auf den netten, sehr persönlichen Erzählungsstil einlassen in dem dieses, wie ich finde, gelungene Buch geschrieben ist.Viel Spaß damit.

Zum Inhalt will ich gar nichts schreiben. Ich mag Woz und das Buch auch, inhaltlich.Der Umschlag ist wolkig und schlecht gedruckt, der Einband 08/15 schlecht mit Goldprägung am Rücken versehen. Das gesamte Buch scheint auf mittelmäßigen Kopiergeräten produziert worden zu sein. Eine Schande bei dem Preis!
a little technical at times but you feel what Steve Wozniak feels and that's just awesome to read. He's got so much passion and he is a great person. And he definetely had fun doing what he does best (and that includes telling his story) and the fun also springs over to you when you read his memoirs. I finished the book in a couple of hours and it was great to read it.
